Start setup
Prepare a DocLayer installation
Four things to have ready before you sign in. Setup itself happens in the Setup Center after a verified administrator sign-in.
The ACP installer is available as a preview. Download it for a fresh installation and review the guide with your administrator. This page explains what’s needed; entering an Account ID does not install the connector, enable Production or start a trial.
Choose the account and environment
Each NetSuite environment is its own DocLayer installation, with separate setup, storage, record types, permissions and documents. Prepare and sign in to each one separately.
| Environment | Account ID format | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Production | Digits only | 7364512 |
| Sandbox | Digits + _SB and a number | 7364512_SB1 |
| Release Preview | Digits + _RP | 7364512_RP |
Before you connect
The DocLayer SuiteApp is installed in the same environment you’ll sign in to. Installing it in Sandbox doesn’t install it in Production.
The installed SuiteApp is a compatible approved version, with Custom Records, Client SuiteScript, Server SuiteScript, SuiteCloud Development Framework and OAuth 2.0 enabled in the account.
Use the ACP preview installer for a fresh account. Keep existing DocLayer installations and arrange a reviewed upgrade with Sictec. Download ACP installer · View installation requirements
If you sign in before the SuiteApp is installed, you’ll get a limited installation-guidance session instead of administrator access.Prepare to authorize
You can sign in to NetSuite with a role that has Administrator authority in that account.
Your browser allows redirects to NetSuite and back. DocLayer sends you to NetSuite’s own sign-in page and never collects your NetSuite password.
An administrator configures the NetSuite integration and exact callback for this installation. Management access also needs an active DocLayer Administrator permission policy.
Continue into the Setup Center
After a verified sign-in you land on administrator home, then continue in the Setup Center. Its nine steps are saved as you go:
1 Detect SuiteApp2 Create workspace3 Connect NetSuite4 Select storage5 Record types6 Role permissions7 Health checks8 Test upload9 Ready for use
You can also open the Setup Center from NetSuite: Setup › Customization › DocLayer Setup Center.Ready?Connection setup opens the Setup Center’s NetSuite authorization for the account and environment you choose (these details don’t sign you in). Already connected? Use the administrator entry.
